SINNERS: Don’t Have A Prayer

When it comes to being saved, sinners don’t have a prayer. Yes, God loves them (Jn 3:16), but they do not have a prayer. Yes, Jesus died for them (Rom 5:6-8), but they don’t have a prayer. Heaven’s gates are open wide (Mt 11:28), but they still don’t have a prayer.
Oh yes, sinners can go to heaven, but they cannot get there by the Sinner’s Prayer. Don’t let the TV preacher or the tract left in the restroom convince you otherwise. God has a plan of salvation –
but it does not include praying a man-made prayer and ‘asking Jesus to come into your heart.’
Sinners don’t have a prayer. God knows when a sinner is ready to come to Him (I Chron 28:9; Heb 4:13). He sees a heart opening to His truth (I Sam 16:7). God knows when a sinner prays (Acts 10:4,31), but He does not grant salvation in answer to prayer (Acts 11:14).
God’s GPS (Gospel Plan of Salvation) will guide the sinner from earth to heaven. It says: “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mk 16:15-16; Acts 2:38; 10:48; 18:8; 9:3-5, 18; 9:18).
