HOPE OF GLORY

Hope in Christ empowers believers with courage and confidence. Hope fixes the eyes on Christ, not only for today but also for the future. It motivates the Christian to know Christ at each moment on the way to glory.
Paul said, “I count all things but loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them as dung, that I may win Christ and be found in Him… that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death”
(Phil 3:8-14 King James Version).
Suffering the loss of everything means nothing compared to knowing Christ and having the hope of going all the way with Him. Our aim is the hope of the gospel, “forgetting the past, reaching toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” All believers are to have this same mind and same “hope of glory”
(Eph 4:4; Phil 1:27).
This hope in Christ brings courage, confidence and comfort even in the worst of times.
It is not empty wishing, but solid expectation, an “anchor of the soul, sure and steadfast (Heb 6:19). It gives assistance and boldness in troublesome circumstances (Phil 4:19; I Cor 10:13; I Pet 3:15; Phil 1:19-20).
